Payment
  • Why do you need a deposit to secure our position?

    The hotels we use in Europe are the finest available and to secure them we must prepay for our rooms in advance and supply them with a definite room count.

  • Do you accept credit cards for the deposit?

    Yes, we are now accepting credit cards to pay the deposit. credit-cards-logos

  • Is there any advantage to sending in my deposit early?

    Absolutely. Porsche allocation is based on the order in which we received your deposit so it is advisable to register early so you are one of the first to choose your 911 in Germany.

  • Is the deposit refundable?

    For our luxury driving tours the deposit is refundable up until 120 days prior to departure. For our Monaco luxury cruise / driving tour the deposit is non-refundable.

  • What if we are unable to make the tour?

    All our vendors require full payment in advance and have strict cancellation policies. If cancellation is withing 120 days of the tour no refund is possible. We highly recommend taking out travel insurance with trip cancellation and we can provide you with information about a policy.

     

What's Included
  • Is gas included for the tour?

    Yes, gas, tolls and parking are included for the planned itinerary.

  • Is there an extra charge for a single?

    Prices are based on double occupancy. Should you decide to come alone there is an additional single supplement. The supplement is to cover the cost of the car and rooms for your individual use. Please contact us for more information.

  • Is the airfare included in the price?

    We have people joining us from all over the world so the airfare is not included in the price. Everyone makes their own way, via the airline of their choice, to Frankfurt or Munich where our tours start and finish.

  • Is alcohol included on the tour?

    Yes, fine wines and beer are served at every dinner.

  • What is included in the price of the tour?

    The price of the tour is based on double occupancy includes unlimited use of the Porsche 911, gas, tolls and full insurance for the planned itinerary. All your luxurious accommodations in the finest hotels in Europe. Gourmet meals including wine and beer. Entry into the spa facilities at each hotel. Visits to various attractions along the planned route. Travel bag with detailed road book, Autobahn Adventures polo shirts etc.

Traveling
  • Can I use my cell phone in Europe?

    Please contact your cell phone carrier for details on using your phone in Europe.

  • How can I reduce the effects of jetlag?

    Most of our guests arrive at least one day early for our tours so they are refreshed and ready for the start of the tour.

  • Do I need to book a hotel if I come early?

    We always have a block of rooms reserved in Frankfurt or Munich for anyone who would like to arrive early or stay later.

  • What is the weather like in Europe during our driving tours?

    Over the past 15 years we have found the months of May / June and September / October to have the best weather for our driving tours. The average temperature is normally between 65 – 75 F with very little chance of rain however we do recommend that you be prepared with a light jacket.

  • What is the dress code for the tour?

    The dress code for our tours is casual with the occasional formal dinner. When driving around Europe we want you to be as comfortable as possible. We have our own private rooms for dinners so we can dress as we like however it is advisable to bring at least one formal outfit. A suit and tie is not necessary.

  • How much luggage should I bring?

    We will supply you with a packing list prior to the tour to assist you with what to pack. We use a luggage truck to transport your luggage to each hotel so it is waiting in your room when you check in.

  • Can I use my ATM cards in Europe?

    Yes, this is the best way to get cash. ATM machines are available everywhere we go. Check with your bank to see if your cards are accepted in Europe.

  • Do the hotels have internet access?

    All our hotels are the finest available in Europe and have WIFI available.

Driving
  • What kind of car will I be driving?

    For our Porsche tours we use the latest model 911 Carrera’s. You have a choice of Coupe or Cabriolet with a PDK transmission. You have exclusive use of the cars for the entire planned itinerary. Each of our tours include gas, full insurance, tolls and additional kilometres above what is planned to allow you do do some extra sightseeing if you choose.

  • Can I drive in Europe with my normal drivers license?

    In Germany it is possible to drive with your normal drivers license but Austria, Switzerland and Italy require an International Drivers Permit. These are available at any AAA office for a small fee.

  • Do we have to stay in a group or drive behind a tour guide?

    On our Porsche tours you do not have to stay together as a group but you can if you want to. All the 911’s have the latest on-board touch screen navigation systems which is pre-programmed with our route to guide you to the next luxury hotel or attraction. Our tours are designed to be flexible and unrestricted. In between hotels we give you the opportunity to see the things that you want to see. The main times we are together as a group is when we have a prearranged tour of the Porsche factory, museum or when we have dinner together in the evenings.

  • How fast can I drive the car?

    Some of our driving is in Germany on the world famous Autobahn which has unrestricted sections that allow you to drive your Porsche 911 at very high speeds. Depending on traffic conditions the average speed is approx 130 – 150 kph with the occasional run up to 250 kph. However in Switzerland, Austria and Italy the speed limit is 120 kph which is strictly enforced.

  • Can I do a European Delivery and join one of the tours ?

    Of course. We have had many people who have taken delivery of their new Porsche in Stuttgart and joined us for one of our Luxury European Driving Tours. Please contact us for more information

  • Is the price the same if only one person drives?

    The price of the tour is based on two people sharing one car. It does not matter if one or both people drive.

  • Is there a minimum age to drive?

    Yes. You must be at least 25 years old to drive with a current drivers license.
